Students come to the Grenadi School of Design (The Computer Graphics School) from all other industires, they come to us at a point in their lives where they are in the position of having worked in one industry and have decided on a change of career that interests and excites them. They know what kind of Art work Inspires them, and are prepared to put in an intensive effort over a relatively short space of time to achieve a high standard of professional skills. Our primary goal is to educate participants in our courses to a competent working level in an interesting, global and highly competitive industry. Providing them with an environment which will inspire in them a quest for perfection whilst being fun to be part of a Art College working at the cutting edge of the Information Technology industry. Here at the Grenadi School of Design (The Computer Graphics School) we aim to train our students to a high level of industry working standards. We are accredited by OTTE Office of Training and Tertiary Education , VQA Victorian Qualification Authority and Adobe Systems We offer training in Adobe, Quarkxpress, Quarkexpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Indesign, HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks. We also teach programming theory and practice with a hard emphasis on Programming for the Web. Languages covered in the Programming aspect of the Courses incorporate, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, Cascading Stylesheets and Flash Actionscript. All programming is geared to cross platform Industry protocols.

We place high value on the individual, Classes are small so we have a high student teacher ratio. We teach the latest versions of industry standard software with flexible, easy payment plans. When we started the school we did not do so with the aim of it getting very big and making lots of money. Most schools and colleges out there cover a lot of filler stuff and many have teachers who have never actually worked in industry. Between that and budgetary constraints they often teach software that is not industry standard and is sometimes not even current. We really just wanted to start a school that honestly taught people the skills that they would REALLY need in the industry. We also wanted it to be fun for our teachers as well as students and in doing so break down that student teacher barrier that often exists. We think that over the past 8 years we have achieved this.

When we put together our courses we always look to our own commercial experience and ask ourselves what skills is it we need in a designer that we hire. It is those skills that we teach as well as keeping abreast of the latest developments.
